Nurse Manager (FT), RN, Orthopedic Clinic Days - (Paid Relocation to New Hampshire)

Lebanon, NH, US Full Time

**Relocation to New Hampshire is required for this position. Paid relocation packages are available for out of state candidates.**

Position Summary:

Administersan assigned nursing program or organizational unit with responsibility forplanning, selecting, and/or devising the methods and policies/procedures to beused and for directing nursing supervisors and/or other personnel in theaccomplishment of designated goals. Negotiates interdepartmental resources,communicates and plans with managers of staff in other departments to ensureeffective level of service to the unit/program.


Responsibilities:



  1. Plans adequate staffing and adjustments basedon patient needs and staff skill mix.

  2. Evaluates performance of staff members,including coaching and performance management processes.

  3. Manages the hiring process.

  4. Maintains and supports evidence based practicesin the clinical area. Assures compliance with national standards andinitiatives, e.g., National Patient Safety Goals and The Joint Commission.Promotes individual/peer and departmental accountability to the organization’sMission, Vision, and Goals.

  5. Develops the budget for personnel andnon-personnel expenses. Makes unit based decisions to promote stewardship ofresources. Encourages and supports process improvements which promote fiscalresponsibility.

  6. Assumes responsibility for patient flowprocesses. Strategizes to improve efficiency and eliminate barriers that impactpatient and family centered care.

Performs other duties as required or assigned.


  • Minimum Qualifications:

     

    • Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.

    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) with 2 years of clinical experience and demonstrated leadership ability required.

    • Masters of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred. 

     

      • Certification in a specialty preferred.

     

    Required Licensure/Certification Skills:

     

    • Licensed Registered Nurse in New Hampshire required.

    • Basic Life Support(BLS) Certificate required upon hire and as applicable, higher level per unitcertification requirements as stated on the grid attached to the AHA and Life Support Policy.
